Aviation is a treatment for the entire airframe to stop/prevent corrosion. Widely
used by the military for this purpose. A multi-functional product that
is an exceptional lubricant for rod ends, hinges, locks, and closure
mechanisms. Unexcelled penetrant for breaking loose rusted/corroded
components (exhaust studs, inspection plate screws, etc.).
Does
it work? Reports from the U.S. Army at Ft. Drum, NY indicate CorrosionX
saved $4 million in refurbishment costs for aircraft treated with CorrosionX
and later deployed to Somalia. A report in the July 31st, 1997 edition
of Army Aviation provides more details. Similar findings were
reported for helicopters used in Haiti.
